- MMIs use role play and interview questions.
- Each MMI station is scored by one selector.
- International applicants are usually interviewed by a panel of two.
- Panel interviews take place on campus or remotely and use interview questions only.
- Both formats ask comparable questions.
- Selectors do not see your personal statement or reference.
- Your professionalism is observed throughout the day.
What they assess
- Personal qualities needed to succeed as a medical student and future doctor
- Professionalism
How it's scored and how offers are made
- Your UCAT SJT band counts as one MMI station in your interview score.
- SJT points: Band 1 = 5, Band 2 = 3, Band 3 = 1.
- Your final score combines academic screen score and interview score, weighted 50:50.
- Applicants are ranked and the highest ranked receive offers.
- Your scores are never shared with you.
