Key dates
- MMIs take place on 4, 5 and 6 January 2027.
How the interview works
- You will rotate through eight MMI stations.
- Each station lasts 6 minutes, with 2 minutes of reading time outside to prepare and make brief notes.
- There is one interviewer at each station.
- The interviewer reads the instructions aloud, asks questions and responds to your answers.
- You can ask for a question to be rephrased.
- The MMI takes just under an hour.
- Interviews are face to face on the University of Leeds campus.
- Overseas applicants are interviewed online.
What they assess
- Communication skills
- Ethical reasoning
- Problem solving
- Values and behaviours in line with the NHS Constitution
- Your reflections on the values and behaviours needed for the course
- Clinical or scientific knowledge is not tested
How it's scored and how offers are made
- You are marked against pre-determined, standardised scoring scales.
- Offers after interview depend entirely on your interview performance.
- Predicted or achieved grades and UCAT scores do not affect the decision after interview.
- Applicants who narrowly miss an offer may be placed on a waitlist.
- Waitlisted applicants are contacted after the UCAS decision deadline in June.
