What these figures cover: BChD, Home applicants, from Freedom of Information responses. Leeds reports places filled (70–72) rather than total offers.

Figures are as published by the university or released under Freedom of Information. Definitions differ between schools, so compare with care. A dash means the figure was not published.

Key dates

  • Interviews are typically scheduled in February.
  • Interviews cannot be arranged outside this period, so make sure you are free.

How the interview works

  • For 2027 entry, interviews are held online.
  • Leeds uses multiple mini-interviews (MMIs) instead of a traditional panel interview.
  • You move around a series of interview stations.
  • At each station you complete a task or answer a few short questions.
  • You are scored separately at each station.
  • Shortlisted applicants are sent information on how to prepare by the Admissions team.

What they assess

  • Attitudes
  • Communication skills
  • Empathy
  • Analytical skills
  • Ethical reasoning
  • Values in line with the NHS Constitution

How it's scored and how offers are made

  • Station scores are independent of each other and combined into an overall score and ranking.
  • Offers after interview depend entirely on your interview performance.
  • Predicted or achieved grades and other scores are not used at this stage.
  • Applicants who narrowly miss an offer may be placed on a waitlist and contacted after the UCAS decision deadline in June.
